The official website of the Higeki no Genkyou to Naru Saikyou Gedou Last Boss Joou wa Tami no Tame ni Tsukushimasu. (The Most Heretical Last Boss Queen: From Villainess to Savior) television anime revealed a pair of new cast, staff, and the first promotional video for the second season on Wednesday. The anime series adapting Tenichi's fantasy romance light novel will premiere on Tokyo MX, MBS, and BS11 in April 2026.

Voice actors Shinnosuke Tachibana (Loop 7-kaime no Akuyaku Reijou wa, Moto Tekikoku de Jiyuu Kimama na Hanayome Seikatsu wo Mankitsu suru) and Hikaru Midorikawa (Delico's Nursery) are joining the cast Leon as and Cedric, respectively.

Tenichi began writing the novel on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in April 2018. Ichijinsha began publishing the series under its Iris Neo label in June 2019, featuring illustrations by Suzunosuke. The 12th volume was released in October 2025.

Bunko Matsuura began serializing a manga adaptation on Zero-Sum Online in March 2019 and ended it last October due to poor health. The third and final volume shipped in January 2022.

A new manga adaptation by Akiko Kawano covering the Val Arc ran in Zero-Sum Online from June 2023 to December 2024. A sequel manga covering the Fiance Arc, also by Kawano, began serialization in the same magazine in March 2025. Ichijinsha published the first volume in October 2025.

Seven Seas Entertainment licensed both the light novel and the first manga adaptation in English in June 2021. The light novel's ninth volume was released in September 2025, with the tenth volume scheduled to go on sale on April 14. The third and final volume of the first manga adaptation shipped in February 2023.
